So to start off straight away, this is the propaganda poster I have chosen for your viewing. This is an American propaganda poster from the WWII- Era, published with the aim of creating a pro-nuclear community against Japan, the then-national antagonist.

I find this propaganda poster especially successful, since it induces the fear of a terrible death by explosive force, falling debris, heavy burning, mutation and amputation etc. What makes it really well-thought though, is the fact that it also provides a not-so-plausable-but-oh-well kind of solution: nuking the Japs out of orbit.

This propaganda has also --apparently-- been successful, bearing in mind that the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings followed not so long therafter, not much to the resent of Americans at all, as a reasonably large number of Americans at the time considered the Japanese nation to be somewhat sub-human and very obviously worthy of being killed off completely. I guess you can say that the Americans were never too smart now, were they?
